Our Story

We met in Galveston, Texas, Brittany’s home state, before moving to Florida after Scott graduated from Texas A&M. For years, we chased adventure on the water, living aboard our sailboats and dreaming of exploring the world by sea.

In 2017, Hurricanes Irma and Nate changed everything, taking both of our boats—and the life we’d built. Starting over on land, we found a 6‑acre homestead in Levy County in 2018. What began with three pigs soon grew into a lively farm filled with animals, gardens, and purpose.

In 2020, we stepped into a new chapter: a stunning 100‑acre ranch surrounded by rolling hills, sunsets, and star-filled skies. It became our sanctuary and the place where our calling truly took root.

Howerton Oaks Ranch is more than land—it’s the story of resilience, faith, and community. From sea to soil, we’ve learned that the most meaningful destinations are often the ones we never expected.
